    Comic Book Money Clips

    By the Tycoon

The other day I decided to swing by my local hobby shop to see if anything new was in. It was a lazy, rainy Saturday without anything much to do - the perfect day for browsing around for a small one day project. There I was shocked to see that they offered a few money clips specifically related to comic book heroes. And not just any heroes, some of the most popular out there - including Batman and Superman. I’ve grown up with these heroes, and to see the superman symbol emblazoned proudly on a sterling silver money clip really took me aback. I was speechless and touched at the same time. This eccentric money clip was one I couldn’t go without reviewing.

The cool thing about the Superman money clip is just how classy it is. It has a sleek silver design with the classic Superman shield proudly displayed in gold across its center. This really took me back to my childhood. I found it really fitting for one of the oldest and most loved comic book heroes. The clip doesn’t try to be anything more than it needs to be. It isn’t gaudy, and yet it doesn’t slack when it comes to quality materials and design. This money clip isn’t one that I’d walk around with on business trips, but it certainly needed to join my collection. It’s eclectic, but cool. It has a certain kind of charm that just brings a smile to your face when you take it out of your pocket. And besides, with the Man of Steel guarding my money, it has to be safe!

The other clip which was offered that day that really caught my eye was the Batman styled batarang money clip. This was catchy for two reasons. Firstly because they really captured the curvature and design of the new Batman Begins style so well, and secondly because the material used is carbon fiber. I really have to admit that a carbon fiber money clip just does it for me every time. The sturdy strength and solidarity shown by the totally black clip harnasses the essence of Batman’s dark brooding nature and troubled past. With great functionality and great looks, it really makes for a well put together money clip. Not that I’d use it on an every day basis, but perhaps when an eccentric mood strikes my fancy.

Comic book money clips can make excellent additions if you like to collect the wild and the weird in money clip variety. They also make great gifts for kids who are just beginning to handle money. Give them a money clip for its practicality. Make it comic book themed so that they feel inspired to use it. This will keep their (or perhaps your) money safe and them happy all at the same time.
